This is the official site of Birdsong Micropress, a lil publishing outfit located in Williamsburg (not the historic one), and is comprised of an array of serialized zines and one-shots by various birdsong writers/artists, and the interview series Five on It. Contributors comprise The Birdsong Collective.




BRD SNG #2

This is a week of “it’s here”s, and this is no exception.  IT’S HERE– BRD SNG#2!!!

Our beautiful broadsheet is back, w/ art by Michelle Yu, a short story by Rita Sangre, and three short poems from Katie Naoum– ALSO A JOYOUS FACT:  Katie just received a very prestigious poetry prize from the New School, where she recently graduated with her MFA in poetry.  Parts of her final manuscript and some new poems were chosen by Matt Rohrer to recieve the New School Chapbook Competition in Poetry prize!  250 chapbooks are to be made and distributed amongst the rest of us lowly light-ragers.  Congratulations, Katie! So so proud!!!

So anyway, back to the BRD SNG.  Pick it up at the show this Saturday, write me if you want a copy, or, if you live in New York, it’ll probably be at your favorite club or dub spot within the week.
